Biography

Dr. Yibin Jiang received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Xiamen University in 2019 and his Ph.D. from the University of Glasgow in 2023. From 2023, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Glasgow with Prof. Leroy Cronin, focusing on intelligent automation in chemical synthesis. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Xiamen University, working on AI-driven closed-loop experimentation and autonomous scientific discovery.

Research Interests

Dr. Jiang’s research integrates artificial intelligence, automation, and materials chemistry to accelerate scientific discovery. His work focuses on:

• AI-driven closed-loop experimentation for autonomous chemical synthesis and optimization.

• Explainable machine learning for structure–property relationship modeling in functional materials.

• Embodied intelligent agents that connect language models with robotic experimentation.

• Knowledge reasoning and self-evolving AI systems for interpretable, data-driven chemical research.
